Sam Brookes
Sam Brookes was one of the artists at the top of our list when we first launched Indie Kitchen. His songs are beautifully crafted stories about familiar subjects and his voice is captivating. His session with us formed part of his Cornwall mini-tour in November 2013.
His self-titled first release brought him recognition through high-profile support slots with Joan Armatrading, Ray Davies and Newton Faulkner; this combined with an entrepreneurial spirit and a close kinship with other musicians such as Lucy Rose, Pete Roe and Emily and the Woods has allowed his live and recorded sound to evolve into a more powerful and provocative body of work.
His Indie Kitchen session featured songs from his second album, “Kairos”, released in February 2014.
